iAgentify tells you when something needs your attention: a new lead, a customer asking to talk to a person, credits running out, a failed payment or a channel that stops working. Each notice arrives in two ways, inside the app and by email, and each person chooses their own under Settings › Notifications.

How they reach you

In the app. The bell icon, Notifications, shows how many notices you have not read. Opening it shows the latest ones, lets you press Mark all as read and, with View all, takes you to the Notifications page. On that page you can see only the pending ones with the Unread filter and tick each one off with Mark as read. Pressing a notice takes you to what it is about: for example, the lead, the conversation or Billing. Each person has their own list: a colleague reading a notice does not mark it as read for you.

By email. Emails go to the address you sign in to iAgentify with, in the language you have under Settings › Profile › Dashboard language.

Choose your notices

The preferences are yours: each person on the team has their own, and if you belong to several accounts, you have a separate set in each. To begin with, every notice is switched on both ways.

  1. Go to Settings and open the Notifications tab. You can also go straight to Settings › Notifications (opens the app), or get there from the Notifications page with the Preferences button.

  2. In the Notifications section, find the notice you want to change. They are grouped under Billing and credits, Conversations and leads and Support and integrations.

  3. Switch its two toggles on or off: Email and In-app.

To change a whole column in one go, use the checkbox at the head of the column. On a phone it is called All by email and All in-app.

  4. Press Save changes. You get “Notification preferences saved”.

Until you save, the screen says “You have unsaved changes.” and you can go back to how it was with Discard changes.

What each role receives

Having a notice switched on is not enough: some are only sent to certain roles.

  • Owner and Admin receive all of them.
  • Member receives New lead, A customer asks for a person and the support replies to the tickets they opened. The screen tells them so: “Billing, credit and channel notices are only sent to the owners and admins of the account.”
  • Read only receives no notices: “With the read-only role you do not receive account notices. These preferences will apply if your role changes.”

What else changes with the role is in team roles.

Emails that are not notices

These emails do not appear in the preferences and cannot be switched off. They are sent whenever they are needed:

  • The email to verify your address when you create the account.
  • The email to reset your password.
  • The invitation to join a team.
  • The receipt for each payment. It goes to the Billing email you give under Settings › Company, in Billing details; if you leave it empty, to the owner’s email.

If the emails do not arrive

  1. Look in your spam folder. If they are there, mark them as safe.

  2. Check the address. Under Settings › Notifications, the Notifications section says “Emails go to…” with your address. It is the email you sign in with; to change it, see change the email you sign in with.

  3. Check your preferences. The Email toggle for that notice has to be on, and the changes saved.

  4. Check your role. A member does not receive billing, credit or channel notices, and someone with the read-only role receives none.

  5. Remember the notices that are sent only once. Credits are running low and Out of credits are not repeated until credits are added.

If the notice shows up under the bell but not in your email and none of the above explains it, open a ticket from Support with the type of notice and the approximate time.
